It’s not like I’m your puppet
clearly not! You don’t think that way
but the way you blow your trumpet
with persistence to have the last say
leaves much in retrospect
to suggest I may never have my day.

For you, everything else is irrelevant
To you, you are a giant – an elephant
as you fix this and change that
and direct all path
signalling nobody else move or mutter
after all, you’re not a puppet master.
