Today is pregnant

Tomorrow remained in her stomach
swollen like a pregnant goat
bulging per second
like the next bulge
will burst her skin
and spill the content.
She coordinated herself
like it wasn’t a burden she bore.
Shadows faded, darkness prevailed
she went into labor,
tomorrow is born
a healthy child.

  1. Hi – this is Chloe from “Writing Days-Happy Days” with my new blog. Please visit “Blossom Dreams” if you can – possibly even subscribe 😉

If I’m on your Blogroll, please can you change your link from Writing Days to Blossom Dreams?

Many thanks and have a great day!!

  2. A parable, a metaphor, and a beautiful way to express how to look at each day before us – creative undertaking here, well executed. A child’s smile, as a well-laid (and troubled over) plan effectively realized can bring such bliss.

  3. a burden that’s not too heavy to carry… love taking its physical form… i have always been a fan of yours. i love your creative take on the subject, from a man’s point of view at that. 🙂

  4. You’ve written some really good poems since I’ve known you, but this one had me right at the picture. Great concept overall and “tomorrow is born a healthy child.” Wonderfully done.
