Reverse Perspective

With green eyes
I looked at the man
carrying a bag of gold
on his back
and wished I was him.

With a burden
on his back
and sleepless nights
of guarding,
the man
carrying a bag of gold
wished he was me.

  3. Oh how true this is! As a child I lived next door to a family who owned a bakery. Their daughter loved my mother’s home made baking. We desperately wished we were her so we could eat goodies from a bakery!

  4. I’m one of those people who is actually happy with his life.
